how long does the coffeemaker stay on before the auto shut off turns the machine off
My guess is around 20-30 minutes. I've never paid attention to the clocks but I know it's a while, but not a really long time.

Does it have the gold tone permanent filter
No, it comes with no filter. You would have to purchase it separately. It requires cone shaped filters.
