Thank you for asking. Kraft Foods Group is committed to producing the highest quality foods possible.
To this end we are also mindful about potential residues that may be in raw materials
To be assured that raw materials purchased by Kraft, meet our and government standards (FDA, EPA for US & CFIA for Canada), all new and existing purchases of raw materials include a statement in our specifications that the products must be within the regulations of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Kraft also requests its suppliers to provide us with certificates of analysis (test results) for their agricultural products.
In addition we have instituted our own means of testing for residues, using an external independent laboratory.
Processed foods are usually not treated with pesticides and items such as produce are washed thoroughly as part of our standard processing method and subsequently analyzed for pesticide residue.
Pesticide residue must be within tolerance established by Federal Regulations.
Have a great day.
