This is one of my favorite flavored coffees. The vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves meld together nicely, and the dark roast holds up well to the flavors. Don't be fooled by the name--this coffee is good all year.

This is a good idea for a flavored coffee, but the flavors are a little too subtle. Gevalia could stand to kick it up a notch to make it better. As it is, it does not deserve more than three crowns. If you are looking to try a flavored coffee for the first time, go for the Cinnamon instead.

There are an awfully lot of folks out there who will tell you that JBM is the best coffee in the world, and it is quite good. Like any natural product, there will be variations in quality over time, and some years any coffee will be better than it is in other years. As some reviewers have noted, the quality of JBM seems to have waned some recently, but that doesn't bother me a lot. It happens. Looking at my experience with JBM over many years, I have to say that it is overrated and overpriced. According to my taste buds, New Guinea is a better single-bean coffee (and much cheaper), but JBM is still pretty darn good.
Yes, I recommend this product.

People go on and on about Jamaica Blue Mountain, but according to my taste buds, New Guinea coffee is the best coffee extant. If you prefer to drink only one coffee rather than mixing it up and trying different kinds, this should be your one coffee. New Guinea is better than JBM--and a lot cheaper.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a very good flavored coffee, although perhaps slightly disappointing. Chocolate flavor is a natural complement to coffee, but the chocolate in this coffee is very subtle. The coconut stands out more, and it would be better if it were the other way around. Still, with cream and sugar, it's very good for a flavored coffee. (For what it's worth, all of the flavored coffees require cream and sugar to bring out the flavors.)
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm normally a coffee person, but I sometimes like tea in the evenings, especially during the winter months. This tea is excellent! Don't let the fact that it contains black pepper turn you off. You can smell the pepper when you open the package, but the taste of it in the tea doesn't stand out. It just blends in very well with everything else, creating a very tasty and satisfying tea. Just don't ruin it with artificial sweetener. Take it plain or with sugar, and you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this wonderful tea!

This is hands down the best of Gevalia's flavored coffees. The cinnamon and cloves complement each other and the light roast coffee perfectly. With cream and sugar, it's like candy! (I would never put cream in "real" coffee, but the flavors require it.) This is an excellent dessert coffee or just a nice change of taste anytime. I'm not crazy about flavored coffees as a rule, but this one is special. If you've never tried flavored coffee, start with this one.

We received one of these as a freebie a few years ago, and it served us very well. It fell a little short of optimum brewing temperature, but it did better than most drip-type coffee-makers. The timer worked well, and overall it was a very good appliance until it was dropped during a move. It seems to be overpriced, but average cost per year is still acceptable.
Yes, I recommend this product.

We received one of these as a freebie a few years ago, and it served us very well. It didn't quite get hot enough for optimum brewing results, but it was closer than most. I wouldn't pay full price for one, but the closeout price is reasonable. I think I might buy one to keep on hand as a spare.

I will admit that I've never purchased these filters, but I've received quite a few as freebies over the years. They are adequate. They do what they're supposed to do, but you can get better, cheaper filters at the grocery store or online.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Availability?

When is the German Chocolate Cafe coffee available and for how long is it available?
It used to be a seasonable flavor, but it's available year-round now.

If this is available year-round, why can't I add it to my auto-shipment?

I'm not sure when you asked your question. Have you tried recently? It used to be a seasonal flavor, but it is available year-round now, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore to add it to an auto-delivery order.

When will this be back in stock?

My wife wants to order this as part of a promotional package but it's backordered and your system won't let me order it as part of the package. How hard can it be to come up with more of this flavor coffee? When will it be in stock? I'm not signing up until I can order it.
I'm not sure when you asked your question, but it's showing "in stock" now. This used to be a seasonal flavor. That may have something to do with it's limited availability, but it's ostensibly available year-round now.

can you get this product in black?

I know they came in black because I had one, but it doesn't look like you can order it in black. Since it's a closeout, it's likely that white is all they have left. The black one I had was a freebie that I received a number of years ago.

Is there a water filter inside?

Does this product have a inner water filter?
No, there is no water filter, but from everything I've heard and read, the filters in coffee-makers don't really work very well. We have a whole-house filter/softener, so it's not a problem for us.

Does the 12 cup digital coffeemaker have a heating element and if so how long before auto-off?

Yes, it has a heating element that shuts off automatically after two hours. It's a nice safety feature, but I would never leave coffee on the burner for that long.

Will it grind GREEN coffee beans?

We grind GREEN coffee beans to fill empty capsules that we take 2 twice a day. We have burned up a Cusinart coffee grinder already doing this and need a coffee grinder that will last longer grinding these HARD GREEN coffee beans.
Coffee grinders are intended to roast only roasted beans. Green beans are much denser and harder and will ruin any coffee grinder. If you want to grind un-roasted beans, you'll have to find another way.

What is the Difference???

What is the difference in hardness between GREEN coffee beans and roasted coffee beans? The GREEN coffee beans sound like rocks when grinding.
Green beans are a lot denser and harder, and in fact, coffee grinders are designed to grind only roasted beans. You might get away with it for a little while if you start with the coarsest setting and then re-grind them on a finer setting, but I still think you're asking for trouble. Long-term, you're probably going to need to find another way to do it. Again, coffee grinders are not intended to grind un-roasted beans.
