I received my Gevalia coffee maker six years ago and it has never given any problems. It has all the great features advertised, is a great looking appliance, makes perfect coffee every time and is the most reliable of any I have ever owned. I have never had one to last more than two years, but my Gevalia at 6 years old, looks as good as the day it came and just keeps on brewing. Thanks Gevelia!
Yes, I recommend this product.

How do I clean this coffemaker. I know my coffee would taste better if I could get the residue out of the filter/coffee holder.

1. You can find a commercial coffee maker cleaner in the coffee aisle of most super markets. Just follow the directions on the package.

2. If the above doesn't work, fill the carafe with water, dissolve a teaspoon of Cream of Tarter in it and run it through the coffee maker. Rinse the coffee maker by running two more carafes of clean water through it.

3. It the above does not clean the filter basket, remove it and soak it in KABOOM; or other commercial lime scale remover.

Hi,
I have this pot and the spring broke. Any suggestions on how to get a replacement basket?
thanks
I do not know what the official warranty period is, but mine has lasted for six years and still looks and works like brand new.

How do I remove the used filter from the coffeemaker?

I cannot find any way to release the filter holder to remove used filters? And i cannot find any instruction booklet. I have to lift the used filter out and that does not seem efficient. What am I missing?
There is a lift ring on each side of the basket. You need to pull up enough to overpower the detent but that should be only slightly more than the weight of the loaded basket. When replacing the basket you need to press down enough to overpower the detent as well.
